You made the list!
You’ve been personally invited to celebrate two people in love — in another country, no less.
How exciting is that?
Here’s a little behind-the-scenes peek at everything that happened before that invitation reached you:
- The couple got engaged.
- Hired a wedding planner and/or a destination wedding travel specialist (like Legally Pink Travel) to help bring their vision to life.
- Negotiated a room block with a gorgeous resort.
- Built, with great care and no small amount of decision fatigue, a beautiful website with everything you need to know – approving every photo and every word before it went live.
Then they hit send… and waited.
And the questions roll in:
“So when is it?”
“Where’s it being held again?”
“How much are the rooms?”
“What’s the resort like?”
“Can I find it cheaper somewhere else?”
All valid questions, truly.
And — here’s the gentle nudge — almost certainly answered on the website they just sent you.
As a certified Destination Wedding Travel Specialist, I’ve seen this pattern more times than I can count. And what I want you to know — because I genuinely don’t think most guests realize it — is that those questions, asked before checking the website, can quietly sting. By the time that link lands in your inbox, the couple has already spent at least a month finding the right resort, negotiating contracts, and building that site from scratch with love and intention.
Every detail was placed there for you.
When guests skip past it and ask questions the website already answers, couples can feel like their effort went unnoticed. Multiply one question by fifty guests and you can imagine how quickly that adds up — in stress, in time, and in feelings. And none of that is the headspace anyone wants going into a wedding.
Again — no one is saying don’t ask questions. Please do!
We just want to make sure you’re getting the most out of the resources already at your fingertips before you reach out.
Three Simple Ways to be a Guest They’ll Always Remember (For the Right Reasons):
1. Read Everything The Couple Sends – Twice
Grab a cup of something warm, sit down with the website and any materials, and give it a real look. If questions remain after that, jot them all down and ask in one conversation rather than one at a time over several weeks.

2. Lean on the Travel Advisor (That’s Me!)
That’s genuinely what we’re here for. Your couple’s travel specialist knows the room options, the payment timelines, the logistics, and all the little details — and we love answering those questions so the couple doesn’t have to.

3. Trust the Process – Even the Pricing
It might be tempting to search around for a better deal, and I completely understand the impulse. But destination wedding travel isn’t quite like booking a regular vacation. The room block is tied to private receptions, organized events, and group experiences that are built into that price. The process is designed to make your experience seamless — all you really have to do is show up and celebrate.

Being a wonderful wedding guest doesn’t require much — just a little curiosity, a little patience, and a quick read-through before hitting send on that first question.
Your couple chose you to be there. Show them it was the right call. 💕
